Physical Therapy Clinical Education

The clinical education component of the Doctor of Physical Therapy program allows students to apply knowledge and skills learned in the classroom to real-life situations in a variety of settings (orthopedics, pediatrics, neurology, geriatrics, etc.), thus experiencing our wonderful profession firsthand, developing working relationships with practicing therapists, and perhaps even discovering what physical therapy specialization they might pursue after graduation.

Students complete closely supervised clinical experiences in which they manage patients with health care needs at various levels of acuity and in different clinical environments, while interacting with various compositions of health care teams.

We are committed to serving as teachers and guides for students pursuing professional careers as Doctors of Physical Therapy.

Student Testimonial

Scerbo Physical Therapy has given me all the tools needed to grow as a prospective physical therapist. I was always encouraged to learn new skills and improve on any skills that I had previously acquired. As a student, I could not have asked for a better learning environment. Dr. Scerbo, Dr. Pomykala, and Dr, Lombardo were all extremely helpful and always welcomed any questions, or suggestions. I am extremely grateful for being placed in such a great clinic with a wonderful staff.
