Vanessa completed her undergraduate education at the University of South Carolina, earning her Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science. During her time at UofSC, she was actively involved in the Panhellenic community, raising money and awareness for breast cancer. She then went on to earn her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Rutgers University.
Growing up as the daughter of a physical therapist, Vanessa was inspired to pursue a career in physical therapy after witnessing firsthand how rehabilitation can improve quality of life and help others regain independence.
Vanessa has always had a passion for helping others, which motivated her to pursue a career in physical therapy. During her graduate studies, she gained valuable experience in a variety of clinical settings, including both outpatient and inpatient care. She also participated in a summer research project with faculty, further strengthening her clinical knowledge and evidence-based practice skills. Vanessa has a special interest in orthopedic injuries and pediatric care.
Outside of the clinic, Vanessa enjoys trying new coffee shops, spending time outside, and reading novels. She also loves traveling and spending time with her family.
