PT, DPT
Dr. Kyle McDonough, PT, DPT, completed his undergraduate education at Mercy College in Dobbs Ferry, NY, where as a freshman he decided on a career in Physical Therapy. In high school, Dr. McDonough had been injured and required shoulder surgery, followed by physical therapy and rehabilitation. He recalls being impressed by the professionalism of the therapists and the great results they helped him achieve during his recovery. In college, he did not hesitate. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Health Science/Physical Therapy from Mercy, then went on to Kean University where he graduated with a Doctor of Physical Therapy degree.
During his doctoral studies, Dr. McDonough accumulated many hours of clinical experience in a variety of medical and rehabilitation settings. He evaluated and treated patients and designed unique programs for their individual therapy needs. Dr. McDonough collaborated on research for the treatment of Bell’s Palsy and investigating how COVID-19 affected cardiopulmonary rehabilitation outcomes. While at Kean, Dr. McDonough also served as a volunteer in several physical therapy education programs.
As an avid exerciser who enjoys working out and sports activities, it’s no surprise that Dr. McDonough wants to help others recover quickly and well from injury and stay active. He has particular interests in outpatient orthopedic and sports rehab, acute care rehabilitation after joint replacement, and cardiac rehab and geriatric rehab.
